Many of the choices what are made during or planning filming, location choices has to be one of the most important and essential to be looked over and discussed. Location doesn't just create the atmosphere but also sets the space as a whole and where all the action is going to take place so when the audience watches each separate location, they'd have different emotions and attachment to the surroundings what over all is going to be the goal when deciding to film.
We made the decision to film the making of Pandora's box in a plain corridor as the wall was plain and we could use characters, clothing and effects can set the atmosphere we're trying to get across to our audience. The living room where Pandora talks to her Dad has a warm, homely feel so we get a sense that the two characters have a safe, caring and trustworthy relationship with one another. Also we chose to film in an open field with a few trees so we could emphasise the isolation of the victim and how vulnerable they are to the killer.
Having a variety of locations create a contrast and can juxtapose on another to make to make the audience think and fill in the gaps themselves which keeps their attention and makes your film more interesting to watch. Contrasting locations can also give off different emotions to keep the audience on their toes and not knowing what to expect from the events that will unfold
