Progress of the Preliminary Task to our Final OTS:
Preliminary task: |
Room 101 (OTS): |
The main differences between our prelim and opening title sequence is through camera angles, effort, and script (amongst other things). Over time, we also learnt more possible angles to use in our work and casting was done properly to ensure that we had the best people for the correct positions. Overall ideas were thought through and were reflected in the length of the clip while positioning them in order. The preliminary didn't even have any edited sound or any special effects to make the lighting suit our scene; making it much more inferior to our final OTS. Production names don't appear either which makes our OTS stand out more. The wide variation of different shots also shows more of the location and says more about the character that overall made our opening title sequence more interesting.
This over the shoulder shot is blurry and not actually focused on the person talking. At the same time the level used is uneven and cuts out more than a mid shot should.
|
This over the shoulder shot came as close as this on our OTS because there is only one person in each shot there isn't a shot to focus on someone else or even a prop because she doesn't use anything like that.
|
Mid shot neutral view what means you can see the reflection from the TV as well as the tripod is tilted and doesn't line up with the TV what really doesn't make this look good.
|
Mid shot of Hele sitting on the floor, because she's crunched up it counts as a mid shot. Lighting's more horror styled and location has been thought through because there are no factors to show if the camera shot is tilted.
