What kind of media institution might distribute your media product and why?
Some of the ideas that we will need to consider when making our OTS, is that certain production and distribution companies only allow for certain genres. For example Disney are most famous for animated or 12-15 rated films. Some companies such as Universal have a very wide link to other companies and will be an ideal candidate for a distribution company. This will help spread the word about the film and will generate more hype.
If we were allowed to choose a company to distribute our film then we would pick would be Universal, this is because Universal are famous for films such as Jurassic Park trilogy, King Kong, and The Mummy series.
This will help get the film out to the right target audience and help investment into it.

What is a Production Company?
Production Companies use short films showing their logo at the beginning of films to advertise themselves and make the audience aware of who has helped make the film being shown. They often have a unique feature that distinguishes them apart from the competition. Famous examples of this includes Twisted Pictures, Blumhouse Productions, Cross Creek Pictures and Intrepid Pictures
